Good News & Positive Bias
Good morning. Premarket futures are showing a positive bias following better than expected earnings reports from tech companies Dell (DELL) & Marvell Technology (MRVL), falling oil prices, and an inline report on personal income and core PCE inflation. Overseas markets have also been positive.
Premarket gainers: DELL, MRVL, JASO, FIRE, WIND, STP, FRPT, FSLR, FEED, TIF, CY, SPWR, ITI, GHM, YGE, ESLR, AKNS, CSIQ, HOKU, BUCY, AIG, DGLY, HEI, F, AMR, PBR, WTSLA, CPSL, ANSS, SEAC, AMAT, EMKR, & FSTR.
Premarket losers: SIGM, JCG, QADI, BIDZ, CISG, AMLN, OVTI, JBLU, & UBS.
After the open, investors will digest the Chicago purchasing managers index for May at 9:45AM and the final University of Michigan consumer confidence report at 10:AM. Neither should be market movers. Like before, everyone will be watching oil prices closely as well as whether today's news from tech will create more rotation away from commodities.
All in all, it appears the market is set for another day of gains to close out what has been an interesting, but good month in many respects for the market. Have a great day!
