Big Returns
The bulls can go home this weekend feeling pretty good as they were able to post some big returns this week.

Over the past five days the Dow gained +3.2%, the S&P 500 +4.2%, Nasdaq +4.9%, and the Russell 2000 +4.5%.
Year-to-date, the Dow is now down -4.9%, the S&P 500 -6.7%, Nasdaq -10.6%, and the Russell 2000 -6.8%.
Sector leaders this week were in the investment brokers, education & training services, semiconductors, homebuilders, metals and minerals, credit services, mortgage investment, copper, steel, iron, and REITs. The most notable laggards (and there were very few) were auto manufacturers, drugs stores, precious metals, soft drinks, and healthcare.
No doubt, it was fun week to be back. Thanks for reading me and being patient during my vacation. We'll have a lot of things to cover over the next few weeks as earnings season gets rolling. Have a wonderful weekend!
