The Next President?

505 members answered the following question in the 2008 membership survey:

"Who do you think will be elected president in 2008?"

Notice, I did not ask who they wanted to win, but who they thought was going to win. For many of us, there's a big difference.

According to the survey, here is how members have voted:

If I had to participate in the Iowa caucus today and vote for who I wanted to win, I'd go for Ron Paul. However, if I had to register a guess who the next President of the United States will be like this survey - my guess would be Mitt Romney even though intrade is predicting an Obama/Huckabee election at least in Iowa.

Don't worry, I'm not about to turn the website into another political blog. But, in election years, politics and the market are connected in some important ways. More on this later.
