Spooky Stocks

In what has become an annual tradition, it's time to reveal this year's list of spooky stocks.

Earlier this week I asked readers to submit their picks and I was surprised by two things: 1) the sheer lack of picks I received, and 2) the types of stocks submitted including some recent market favorites like Research In Motion (RIMM), Baidu.com (BIDU), and Vasco Data Security (VDSI). Here's the full list of picks received which met minimum trading cap requirements:

While I first thought I would build this year's list based reader's suggestions, due to the few amount of picks submitted, I decided to go completely on my own again this year. Here's my very own list of spooky stocks:

If you take time to pull up the charts and look at the fundamentals of many of these companies, you'll see why I picked them. It will also be fun to compare how both sets of portfolios perform over the next year. Happy Halloween!
