Another Rebound Day?

Good morning. Along with disclosure of significant investments from Warren Buffett, George Soros, and Eddie Lampert, investors are looking over mixed data on the housing market. The newswires are relatively quiet though they are expectations of more M&A news.

Stocks trading higher ahead of the open are AGIL, XING, CPWR, CVLT, REDF, NUVO, MPWR, IGLD, BRCD, VVUS, TASR, INTL, TIVO, GERN, CROX, WINN, MPEL, LIHR, and FWLT. Premarket losers are INSP, ATEA, FRPT, AMAT, ESLR, LRCX, and KLAC.

While premarket futures indicate a positive start, there's not a tremendous amount of bullishness in the early going. Overseas markets were mixed and we have the weekly EIA Petroleum Status report at 10:30AM that will likely be a market mover.

Most will be watching to see whether the bulls will show up again to defend their gains as they have each time the market has shown any sign of weakness in the prior trading day. Meanwhile, most are concerned, as I have been, that the major indexes are masking a lot of weakness underneath and that stocks look vulnerable at these levels. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
