Easter Egg Hunt

With the big boys and girls away on vacation, the bulls certainly know how to throw an Easter egg hunt. Just about everywhere you looked this week you could find a positive surprise and you really didn't have to look that hard to find it.

stock market

Over the past four days, sectors showing relative strength were long distance carriers, sporting goods, silver, airlines, mining, diagnostic substances, diversified communication services, metals and minerals, general contractors, computer peripherals, synthetics, foreign utilities, gold, cigarettes, healthcare plans, agricultural chemicals, drugs, and chips. While there were few really weak sectors, oil & gas piplelines, farm and dairy products seemed to have a tough go of it.

As for stocks, big winners this week were: BAMM, BIOV, BTH, CEGE, CYBI, DNDN, EDA, FDC, GISX, GROW, HNP, IDMI, JSDA, JST, LMC, MCF, MFW, MTRX, NEXC, OIIM, RBN, REFR, RZ, SILC, SLP, STEC, VHI, and WEBM. Top losers were: ACY, ALLT, CALM, CTIB, CUTR, DF, GBX, HAYZ, IHR, INPC, IRIX, JTX, LGND, MNST, OCNW, OPXT, PKTR, PTT, RACK, and VYYO.

I'll be back on Monday, ready and fired up as we start another earnings season. Have a nice Easter holiday!
