Weekly Winners & Losers

For the week, the S&P 500 fell -4.4%, the Dow lost -4.2%, while the Nasdaq dropped -5.9%. The three benchmarks erased their year-to-date gains.

Stock Market

The top performing sectors this week were far and few between (agriculture, precious metals, and lumber) while the worst performers were led by investment services, airlines, railroads, construction, auto & truck parts, retail, restaurants, banks, computers, real-estate, healthcare, biotech, chips, lodging, media, and so on. As you can expect, this weekly losers list is long and wide.

As for individual stocks, this week's winners were ADBL, AMSC, APAC, APSG, ASTI, BRW, CTB, DRTE, DSTI, FDP, HBG, HBP, HYSL, IMMR, KOG, LHCG, NVEC, PALM, PRGX, QID, SMSI, SRS, STTS, STTX, SVN, TRCR, TWM, and TXU. Weekly losers were ACOR, ALTU, ASIA, BITS, BSM, CBF, CPSL, DXCM, EMU, FMT, FSTR, GIFI, GRB, HMIN, HRT, IDIX, IDP, JOYG, KONG, MXWL, PRAI, SHFL, SPPI, SSRX, SVR, SYX, TFSM, TRT, TSTC, and WLL.
