Will The Bears Take Control?

BearGood morning. We have another quiet Monday morning as investors ponder some additional M&A activity (FS, HYDL, NVL) and a drop in oil prices. Along with Friday's options expiration, the bulk of this week's economic reports will occur at the end of the week along with testimony from Ben Bernanke on Wednesday.

Premarket trading is also fairly subdued though buyers can be found in ONXX, ADZA, OVTI, ONT, WITS, HYDL, LCAV, STEC, EXEL, LNDC, ALGN, DMGI, HANS, XING, NOVL, NCTY, RMBS, MICC, and AAPL. Sell interest can be found in CBAK, NRMX, APKT, CTRP, CHDX, GSAT, GMKT, GRMN, and ASML.

With Friday's trading range breakdown, traders will be anxiously watching to see whether the bears can step up and press or will once again succumb to the bulls. Premarket trading doesn't offer many clues other than to suggest that trading will be fairly muted with a slight negative bias. Have a good start to the new trading week!
