Happy Valentine's Day!
Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day. Positive news from closely-followed stocks like AMAT, KO, DCX, & DE and strength in overseas markets have the market set for a positive open even though U.S. retail sales came in flat.
Early on buyers can be found in shares of HTI, GIGM, FSLR, GRMN, MICC, IVGN, PFCB, TIE, CPSL, ESLR, AMAT, TASR, ONXX, JASO, FALC, DSTI, DE, CIEN, ARBA, ASML, AAUK, DCX, RIG, and EXTR. Sell interest is strong in shares of DAKT, BRLC, FLWS, GPRO, FNDT, MDRX, LWSN, HSOA, and AVNC.
At 10:AM Bernanke will deliver his semi-annual monetary policy testimony to the Senate Banking Committee. Like usual, Wall Street is placing far too much importance on this speech. (If he's hawkish we go down - if he's dovish we go up, etc.) Let's have a great day in spite of it!
