Earnings Week
Good morning. A positive start for the trading week is expected as we enter the busiest part of earnings season. In the early going, buyers appear ready to move back into tech following last week's declines. Strength in overseas markets and a bounce in oil prices is also helping contribute to the Monday morning optimism.
Notable premarket gainers are EFUT, SWFT, HOKU, FMDAD, CECO, SGTL, DSCO, CHL, GUID, HCR, NGAS, HANS, AMGN, XING, PEIX, SUNW, AMZN, and ADSX. Premarket decliners are CFHI, CENT, STSI, PETS, SIFY, XMSR, LOGI, QGEN, and DSTI.
Other than the leading indicators report due at 10:AM and a speech by Fed President Yellen at 3:20PM, the focus will remain on this week's earnings reports. There's hope this morning that last week's negative "sell on the news" reaction to earnings wasn't justified and we'll soon see if that perception is correct. Let's go out and make it a great week!
