The VIX
Good morning. Premarket futures point to a modest positive start to the trading day.
Strong earnings reports this morning are helping though the newswires are relatively quiet. Same store sales are holding steady and while there are no major economic reports scheduled for release today, Fed governor Kevin Warsh and Richmond Fed President Jeffrey Lacker are due to speak.
Notable premarket gainers are ONVI, PEIX, FMCN, TECD, NURO, EFUT, TRID, BITS, ZVUE, IDIX, ISIX, JNPR, GRRF, LMRA, RMBS, and AMLN. Premarket losers are INFY, CROX, GMKT, STLD, and APTM.
Like many of you, I'm hearing lots of chatter this morning about the VIX which fell below 10 yesterday, moving it close to the all-time low of 9.3 in December 2003. Obviously, we all know that investors have a lot of confidence in this market and the VIX reflects that in spades.
Have a great one today!
