Jobs Report & Performance Chasing
Good morning. The jobs report is out and the bulls apparently like what they see at least to some degree. Premarket futures indicate positive open.
Stocks moving higher in the premarket include STEL, BRLC, ENCY, ERTS, ISPH, SINA, PCR, LOOK, REFR, EMMS, JDSUD, LMRA, AVNX, THQI, CBAK, VRGY, ATVI, CROX, SINA, MNKD, and RMBS. Stocks trading lower are NBIX, RRGB, WFMI, AQNT, LMIA, PWAV, ALKS, SGMS, RHAT, CEPH, PHTN, NEW, and QCOM.
We don't have a tremendous amount of other news to focus our attention on beyond this morning's jobs data though the release of the ISM non-manufacturing survey at 10:AM may see a reaction.
However, looking over the latest money inflow data, it does look like that investors are sending quite a few dollars to the SPY ($3.7 billion in the past week). Given all of the press reports that the average money manager has been under performing the market, those inflow numbers make sense and have provided the market with the underlying bid we've seen. No doubt, investors are chasing performance again.
Have a terrific day out there!
