More Earnings & The Fed

4_23Good morning. Early indications suggest a lower open as we start another week filled with earnings reports the FOMC decision on Wednesday. Oil stocks will also be closely watched after oil prices fall again.

Stocks trading up this morning are CNCT, SILC, FCEL, FLML, LMRA, GRMN, VVUS, VICL, NDAQ, AKAM, TRBM, DTLK, PTRY, DIVX, and CTXS. Stocks moving lower are RDYN, SLAB, INTU, HLIT, TXCO, NWRE, ADZA, and ALDN.

About a third of companies in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index will release quarterly results this week and so far earnings season is off to a strong start. Through Friday, about 32% of the S&P 500 companies had reported with over 70% beating expectations with Q3 operating earnings on track to rise up to 17%. Say what you want about the market and the economy, but that's fairly impressive.

On another note, I'm very pleased to report that the members' only website is up and running again. As you can imagine, I have a lot of catch-up work to do today since that was the #1 priority since Friday morning. Have a marvelous Monday!
