Low Expectations
Good morning. U.S. stock index futures point to a weaker start on Wall Street. Like every day this week, investors are focused on the various earnings reports hitting the newswires especially with no fresh economic reports to talk about. However, oil prices are back on the rise amid speculation that OPEC will reduce the cartel's output.
Stocks moving higher in premarket trading include: PALM, FNET, HRLY, COGN, CRXL, RUTH, SNTO, BITS, TIVO, SONS, LVLT, and SBUX. Stocks under pressure this morning are EPIX, SIGM, NURO, RMBS, ORCL, SUNW, BOBJ, SUNW, OSUR, and CDWC.
Few expect much of the market today given yesterday's pullback, overbought conditions, and lingering growth concerns. We also have the Ryder Cup to keep us preoccupied. Have a great Friday!
