Focus On What Is Working
Good morning. Premarket futures have a positive bias again as the soft landing perception continues to grow. More positive earnings reports this morning are in focus along with weekly jobless claims that rose above expectations. Traders will be watching the leading indicators report at 10:AM, the natural gas report at 10:30, and the Philadelphia Fed Survey at 12:PM.
Stocks moving higher in premarket trading include MLHR, FNET, CMTL, GYMB, DMND, AAUK, PCLN, MIVA, DOCC, ORLY, TSCM, SHPGY, and POZN. Stocks under pressure include INSP, SLAB, XRTX, HOFF, INFA, INCY, VRSN, INTV, TIBX, TEVA, VRGY, and ERTS. Everyone is talking about the recent surge in big cap tech as traders pull the eject button in the energy space which will go a long way to help inspire "little guy" investors to put money back into the market. When stocks like Oracle (ORCL) jump the way they have it does get people's attention.
I'd like to put together a couple of decent trades over the next two days so that's where my focus will be today. I haven't been as nearly as active as I should have been given the momentum out there in some areas. I have probably been too fixated on what isn't working, than what really is. It's time to get to work!
