Only 16% Are Bullish?

Bear2_6Good morning. Premarket futures have a modest positive bias this morning ahead of the consumer confidence report at 10:AM and the FOMC minutes at 1PM. In general, there's very little market-moving news this morning.

My scan of premarket trading also shows little of interest. Stocks moving higher include RSTO, VPHM, QLTI, STEM, NTES, RMBS, STLD, HSOA, and SAFM while a those moving lower are SPTN, KIRK, INSP, ENDP, and NWS.

The most interesting data point this morning so far is the Lowrisk sentiment survey which shows only 16% of respondents were bullish while 67% are bearish. Are people really this bearish about the market right now? I would have thought given the strength we've seen this month that these numbers would be reversed. Just something to consider as we navigate the holiday-thin tape over the next few days.

Have a terrific Tuesday!
