ETF Screening

Yhoo_logo_1Do you ever access the intraday performance of the ETFs to see where the action is in the market? I find that I'm doing that more and more these days. There are a number of websites that provide this information (and you can track your favorites using your own real-time screeners), but my current favorite is at Yahoo.

If you've never used it before, spend some time playing around by clicking on the top navigation menu.

In addition to raw performance stats, you have access to trading volume, risk, holdings, etc. I always learn a few things by doing this and if you trade or own ETFs, you'll find this tool very helpful.

If you have different ETF tools that you also find useful, please send me the links and I'll dedicate a future post(s) on those resources. More folks are focused only on trading the ETFs versus stocks and I suspect this trend is going to last longer than many of us realize.
