Funky Behavior

27_4We're getting that typical funky options expiration behavior once again. So far we are holding up ok. Certainly not as well as I would like and I am not inclined to put more money to work based on what I'm seeing on my screens.

Sectors under the most pressure out there include precious metals, basic materials, oil well services & equipment, restaurants, construction, chips, and transportation. Strength can be found in niche areas within technology, utilities, healthcare, insurance, retail, and drugs. Notable stocks that have come up in my daily screens include SPWR, FNET, TRAD, RIMG, KTCC, STLD, REDF, LNET, SWIR, VPRT, OPNT, and FMCN. Perhaps some trades can be found within this group, but nothing I can find that fits my conservative criteria.

As always, I hope you're trading well in this challenging market. See you after the close!
