Kopin

Kopn_logoIn law school, I had a professor frequently say in his lectures that it was an tremendous asset to have a bad memory. It was his view that having a bad memory would require you to research better and never mistakenly assume that the same old rules, laws, or theories applied because things always change. The more I trade, the more I think there is something to that opinion.

I bring this up because a few years ago I lost more than a little pocket change in Kopin (KOPN) after the company had a series of surprising disappointments. So, I did what most traders do, I ignored it when the stock started to show up on my screens earlier this year and other readers and friends told me it was time to give the stock another look.

So far Kopin has had quite a nice run of late and chart has stayed strong this month. The only problem is that the chart is probably too hot for its own good. But, then again, my memory bias against it is still there even though I'm cognizant of it.
