Morningstar's Five Star Ranking

Morningstar_3Mutual funds covet Morningstar's 5-star ranking since it helps them aggressively market their fund to new investors. However, according to a new study by Pace University, it appears the 5-star ranking is the kiss of death. Pace discovered that a fund's performance typically drops dramatically in the three years after it receives Morningstar's highest ranking. READ
