Ballard Power & Fuel Cells
Remember when fuel cell stocks were the must-own stocks? It hasn't been that long ago and while now the focus of the market's attention is now on nanotech and VOIP, I'm reminded of the lesson that stocks like Ballard Power (BLDP) amply provide.
While a lot of money can be made in buying new fad stocks, especially early on when the momentum is strong, many times the best time to buy these stocks for long-term holdings is after Wall Street finally grows tired of them and throws in the proverbial towel. While I'll leave it to you to decide whether Ballard Power (BLDP) has any future upside potential, the fact that everyone now hates this stock and clearly has doubt regarding their future has finally made me interested in buying this fuel cell stock for the first time.
